The RaySecur Security Advisory team has seen an uptick in a new technique for smuggling drug-infused papers into corrections facilities – household inkjet printers are being used to apply liquid drugs to the papers. Prisons in Florida, Georgia and Alabama have reported incidents of drug-printed papers being smuggled in legal mail and documents.
It is recommended that facilities increase scrutiny of your document screening protocols (mail and legal paperwork) and reinforce PPE usage to protect your screeners from accidental exposure.
